Summer in Cleveland seems to be at a stand still. It was packed full of parties, great weather, and good times. Now, it's hot as shit, most clubs are dead, and there's not much more to look forward to until Fall.

Hence the title of this post. That and I recently finished the classic book of all things PUNK (of course titled Please Kill Me) by Legs McNeil and Gillian McCain. On the cover, Time Out New York says it "Ranks up there with the great rock & roll books of all time" and I have no reason to disagree.

Richard Hell and Television (and later The Voidroids) is a major subject of this tome. The book reminded how good his "Blank Generation" anthem is ... and now I must share it with you.

Summertime Dubbing.

Summertime is going well in Cleveland, Ohio. The Cavs just aquired Shaquille O'Neal, Artest is on the line, we're in the process (hopefully) of getting rid of corrupt local government officials, Michael Symon has opened new restaurants on both sides of town, and the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame just launched a Summmer Music Series tonight with Man Man headlining.

My boy Peter Pleasurecruise and I rode skateboards to the event (my first time on a board in at least 3 years) and we experienced a great FREE indie rock show. All our friends from local bars, restaurants, clubs, bands, etc. were there and we had a blast. They even sold beer outside the Rock Hall and we were super happy about that.

Watch their schedule for more upcoming shows cuz I know Chairlift will be there in a couple weeks ...

A dj / production duo out of Portland called Boy Meets Club sent me this great remix they did of the recent Kids remake (by MGMT) The Kooks did. B.M.C. took the acoustic cover and added a subtle 4x4 beat to it and made a perfect fit for our Sunday dance party at the B Side ... The Get Up!
